Main Street Tax Credit Incentive Program
Keep your dollars local.
If your Washington business pays Business & Occupation tax or Public Utility Tax, the Main Street Tax Credit Incentive Program lets you direct approved contributions to the Centralia Downtown Association and receive a state tax credit worth 75% of your contribution.

How it works
Three steps. One local impact.
Applications are first-come, first-served. Once approved, complete the contribution by the state deadline and use the credit the following calendar year.
Make a pledge
Apply through My DOR.
Sign in to your excise tax account, choose More Excise Tax Options, then Manage/Apply for a Tax Credit. Add a Main Street application, select Centralia Downtown Association, enter your contribution, and submit the authorization.
Donate
Complete your contribution.
After approval, make the contribution directly to the CDA. Contributions may be made in installments, but the approved amount must be fulfilled by the applicable state deadline.
Apply your credit
Use the credit next year.
Once the contribution is verified, apply the approved credit to your Washington excise tax return during the following calendar year. The credit cannot be carried forward.
