Experience the charm of Centralia’s signature event, Summerfest, a cherished day-long celebration on the 4th of July. This event is back and better than ever! Join the City of Centralia and the Centralia Downtown Association for a full day of family friendly fun to celebrate Independence Day. Check back in as we finalize details and our schedule!

8:30 am 5k Fun Run hosted by Run Amok Irish Running Club. Start at the Centralia College clock tower. Canned good donations are appreciated but not required for participation. All donations will be given to the Centralia College Food Pantry.

8am-1oam Pancake Breakfast (pay what you can) in the Trans Alta Commons at Centralia College, a Centralia Rotary fundraiser.

10am-12pm Field activities at Centralia College’s Bob Peters Field, featuring an obstacle course, sports activities, bubbles and more!

10am-6pm Food vendors will be downtown across from the Pine Street Plaza with tasty treats and delicious drinks for the day in addition to downtown shopping and dining.

11-3:30pm Cooks Hill Community Church will host family friendly activities in George Washington Park in front of the Centralia Timberland Library, including a scavenger hunt, rubber chicken games, crafts and more. Live Music by Grooveyard throughout the event.

4pm The annual downtown Summerfest Parade, with announcer Brian Watson of The Chronicle. Live commentary will take place on stage at Pine Street Plaza. Stay Tuned for this year’s Grand Marshal reveal!

Back for 2025 is a FREE shuttle service provided by Lewis County Transit with event parking at the Fairway Shopping Center and overflow parking at the Lewis County Mall, which should alleviate any downtown parking issues and allow attendees to ride worry free between event locations and spend the whole day enjoying Summerfest. Shuttles will run every 20 minutes, stopping at the two parking locations as well a the Centralia Train Depot and George Washington Park from 7:30am to 11pm, with an additional stop on Pear Street by the Centralia College Trans Alta Commons from 7:30am to noon.
