Experience the charm of Centralia’s signature event, Summerfest, a cherished day-long celebration on the 4th of July. This event is back and better than ever! Join the City of Centralia and the Centralia Downtown Association for a full day of family friendly fun to celebrate Independence Day.

8 am 5k Fun Run hosted by Run Amok Irish Running Club. Start at the Centralia College clock tower. Canned good donations are appreciated but not required for participation. All donations will be given to the Centralia College Food Pantry.

8am-1oam Pancake Breakfast (pay what you can) in the Trans Alta Commons at Centralia College, a Centralia Rotary fundraiser sponsored by Sierra Pacific.

10am-12pm Field activities at Centralia College’s Bob Peters Field, featuring an obstacle course, goal kicks, bubbles and more!

11am-6pm Food vendors will be downtown across from the Pine Street Plaza with tasty treats and delicious drinks for the day in addition to downtown shopping and dining.

12-3:30pm Cooks Hill Community Church will host family friendly activities in George Washington Park in front of the Centralia Timberland Library, including a scavenger hunt, rubber chicken games, crafts and more. Music and prizes will be provided by KELA/KMNT from 12-2pm.

12-3pm Live music at the Pine Street Plaza from local band BonzoBalm! Give them a listen on Spotify here and here!

4pm The annual downtown Summerfest Parade, with announcers Aaron Van Tuyl, Eric Schwartz of The Chronicle News Dump podcast, with special guest Luke Kilgor. Live commentary will take place on stage at Pine Street Plaza. We are thrilled to have Jerry Owens as this year’s Grand Marshal!

7:00pm Head to the SW WA Fairgrounds for the demolition derby brought to you by the Lewis County Demolition Derby Association! Box seats can be purchased ahead of time by coming to the Fair Office, starting on Tuesday, June 18th at 10:00am. Pre-sale admission tickets can be purchased at the Fair Office starting on Monday, July 1st at 10:00am - Wednesday, July 3rd at 3:30pm. Fair Office sales can be done with a check or card. Checks can be made payable to the SWWFair. Tickets can also be purchased at the gate on Thursday, July 4 at 5:30pm. Cash and cards will be accepted.

New in 2024 is a FREE shuttle service provided by Lewis County Transit with event parking at the Fairway Shopping Center and overflow parking at the Lewis County Mall, which should alleviate any downtown parking issues and allow attendees to ride worry free between event locations and spend the whole day enjoying Summerfest. Shuttles will run every 20 minutes, stopping at the two parking locations as well a the Centralia Train Depot and George Washington Park from 7:30am to 11pm, with an additional stop on Pear Street by the Centralia College Trans Alta Commons from 7:30am to noon.
