Centralia Library
In 1909, The Ladies of the Roundtable initiated a push for a library in Centralia, obtaining a $15,000 grant from Andrew Carnegie and land for the library from the City of Centralia. Library construction began in 1912, with plans from architect Watson Vernon. In 1913, the library opened to the public. In 1976, Centralia obtained a $1.2 million Economic Development Administration grant to expand the library. The expanded and renovated library, designed by architect Harry Rich, opened to the public in 1978. The library expanded and renovated its children's area in 2017.
